"Are we not men?"
This weekend we're off to celebrate a milestone in a young person's life. A graduation. This person happens to be my goddaughter, and she is finishing law school. Smart young woman.
To get there we're driving. It's not a short drive. It would be easier to fly, but we didn't consider it. After 3 hours on the road I'm wondering why flying isn't a consideration. The thing I've come up with is freedom of choice. When we drive we have a few more options for how the day unfolds. It's not much, but it's something. (maybe choice and not standing in line)
This reminds me of DEVO. Freedom of Choice. It's what you want. And it has one of my favorite verses, which goes something like:
"In ancient Rome, there was a poem, about a dog, who has two bones. He licks the one, he licks the other, he goes in circles. He is now dead!"
Maybe I should have flown.
