My best clients are into revisiting strategy and planning for 2017.
To bring speed to these meetings, we do an exercise that orients the leadership team using the following "where will next year's business come from?" framework.

It's a simple view of next year's business, and we use it to illustrate a point. Big growth comes from small changes.
For instance, what would a 4% increase in qualified leads worked, a 5% increase in retention, a 4% increase in average sale size, and a 4% increase in # of transactions a year add up to?
Would you believe it could lead to a 15% increase in revenue and a doubling of profits?

Mess around with it yourself.
Then think about the little human sized changes your team can put in place to make it happen.
Then start thinking about why the humans on your team should bother trying. Why should they go through the effort? What's the purpose and how does it help them? How will it help the customers?
Good stuff.
