Part of being healthy is getting a good night's sleep. I have been getting to bed earlier, but it's due more to the sun going down at 4:30pm than any fitness regimen. I'm in bed by 10pm, sometimes 9pm, and sometimes whenever I feel done for the day.
If there is a drawback to getting to sleep early it's waking up in the middle of the night. I read about the Middle Ages custom of first sleep and second sleep. When I wake in middle of the night I rarely get to a second sleep. I just get up for the day. Sometimes I read, sometimes I write, and two weeks ago, I shopped.
Gifts for all sorts of people starting arriving this week. Big gifts, little gifts, heavy gifts, big boxed gifts. By the time this note is sent, the gifts will have been wrapped, unwrapped, opened, and left lying around. It will be an hour before it gets dark again and there's a good chance I'm tired, but happy.
Holidays are the best.
